This Wednesday, June 25, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, assured that “you don't have to be a Chavista or anti-Chavista to ask that the patriotic soil be respected, that's a matter for patriots.”

This statement was made during his Con El Mazo Dando program No. 532, regarding the statements of the opposition Jesús "Chuo" Torrealba condemning the statements of the extreme right wing María Corina Machado in which he points to Venezuela as a “threat to the hemisphere”, linking it to Iran, thus calling for an intervention or bombing against Venezuelan territory.

In that sense, he specified that Torrealba's statements are what “any conscious person” says and will think. “I have always said that there are patriots who are anti-Chavista, who are not revolutionaries, but they are patriots,” he said.

As for Machado, she reiterated that her “situation is the ultimate, she is asking that our own country be bombed, the country where we all live, she doesn't care about that; tomorrow she will say as Lilian Tintori once said 'deaths don't matter, the important thing is to achieve the objectives'”.
