The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, questioned the silence of the American congresswoman, of Cuban origin, María Elvira Salazar, about the non-approval of the continued defense of Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which promoted migratory stability and which the official used as a political flag in the supposed defense of Venezuelans in the North American country.
“María Elvira and the TPS? Say something about the TPS! That's how the Venezuelan opposition managers don't talk about the TSP. The truth is that in one or two months 600,000 Venezuelans living in the United States have to pick up their corots and others will be expelled,” he said.
He criticized that many, like the congresswoman, promoted migration and asked the previous administration of Joe Biden to enter Venezuelans into the United States and now with the Donald Trump administration they are turning a blind eye to him.
“Now that this (Trump) is kicking them out, they don't tell him anything because he's their boss. Fortunately we can talk about it because our boss is the People,” he said.
