During an event on the occasion of the five years of the failed coup d'etat of April 30, 2019, from Altamira, the first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stated that traitors have an even greater sanction, which is exile by their own people.
“When the People are betrayed, it's worse, because the People are impeccable with history. Those who were in the ranks of Chavism and betrayed Commander Hugo Chávez, President Nicolás Maduro and this people, forgiveness will never come to them, there is no way to forgive them,” said Cabello Rondón.
He also argued that beyond the criminal sanction, the life sentence they deserve, “the worst punishment is to feel like traitors, because they betrayed the hope of a People.”
Cabello Rondón pointed out that love and loyalty are supportive companions in any fight and in any battle.
In addition, he recalled that when the Town was called to Miraflores that April 30th, despite all the problems, he took to the streets massively, “because this town knows about love and loyalty.”
On the other hand, ahead of the presidential elections on July 28, Cabello Rondón added that the People know what they have to do, they know what the task is, “maximum organization, maximum mobilization. Teamwork is the guarantee of a sure win.”
“There is an opposition sector that realized where it is involved and decided to get out of the violence and today the majority is in the National Assembly and they have their candidates, I ask them not to stray from the path of peace, tranquility and legality,” he said.
