Diosdado Cabello Rondón emphasized that the country is a friend of the Colombian people despite “what Venezuela has suffered for the crimes committed in Colombia.”
“We've proven it a thousand times, but since then, we don't always get good answers. What's more, we almost always receive very bad answers,” he stressed.
The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) stated that despite this attitude, “when you get on a roll, the first to come out to defend you are us because we are sons of Bolivar, and you, like it or not, are sons of Bolivar.”
He recalled that “here they came to kidnap Venezuelans and took them to Colombia. All that ended when Freddy Bernal came to the government of Táchira.”
“The cars were stolen here and taken there and nationalized all at once,” he recalled.
In his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 523, he highlighted that Colombian mayors steal Venezuelan gasoline, and they claim that “after he is here they are already here,” said Cabello, in an ironic tone imitating the Andean accent.
“If anyone has to ensure the peace and tranquility of their territory, it's Colombia,” he said, while stating that “there has been no peace and quiet in Colombia since (Jorge) Gaitán was assassinated.”
He indicated that every time they “have a roll there, they come and launch themselves against Venezuela as if we were enemies. Colombia has enough problems to show its own tail.”
