Cabello: Venezuela is at peace despite constant threats

The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, said that one of the great achievements of State security agencies is that today Venezuela is at peace, despite constant threats from sectors of the right and imperialism.

“In general terms, Venezuela is at peace, remember that we come from constant threats, terrible threats, and despite these threats, the country is at peace and has managed to overcome the vast majority of them,” Cabello said at a press conference.

He affirmed that the country is at peace, “it does not mean that the fascist sectors of the right are going to turn the page and become overnight sheep or cultivators of true democracy .”

At the same time, he recalled how those sectors called for violence on July 28 , since as was warned and denounced from the beginning, their plans were not electoral.

“When they (the extreme right) try to generate violence, they don't care who they take in front of them,” he said, stressing that these sectors, in an attempt to carry out their destabilizing plans, have hired mercenaries and terrorists, who have been successfully captured.
