The Sectorial Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that the People of Venezuela will not rest until they bring back the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, and the first female fighter, Cilia Flores, who were kidnapped by the United States (USA) on January 3 after a military attack against the country.

“What is certain is that we are going to rest ourselves until we can bring back our brother President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores (...) We know how to wake up, fight, resist and win,” he said during his Con El Mazo Dando program No. 558.

He recalled the events of the April 2002 coup d'etat, when they also kidnapped Commander Hugo Chávez and “they were about to assassinate him, similar to the kidnapped brother President Maduro, who was about to be assassinated, he and Cilia, who had serious injuries to his face and body and the president in one leg.”

He also specified that, 12 days after the devious criminal attack of imperialism, Venezuela is in peace and tranquility; in addition, it is gradually regaining its normality in the midst of the situation.

“It's a tough, difficult battle, but the people of Venezuela have the experience to get ahead. It is that same town that has historically risen up in the face of any number of attacks. This is not the first time and the people have risen up, they have said their present and always come out in victory,” he said and assured that President Maduro “will return to Venezuela, it is the great hope, not only of Venezuelans, but of all the people, men and women in the world who are committed to international law and not to the law of the strongest.”

The narrative and the campaign against Venezuela fell on its own

The former secretary general of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) said that today the narrative and campaign that imperialism had against our country, accusing it of “narco-democracy” or “repressive and illegitimate state”, fell on its own.

“This narrative of pointing to Venezuela fell by itself, today it is already very clear to the world, today we know in the world what happened here in Venezuela and why so much campaign against a people, including traitors to the Fatherland and patriotic vendors, are identified,” he said.

In that sense, he indicated that imperialism's mask fell off and it was demonstrated that the attacks against Venezuela were not about drug trafficking or gangs, but about oil. At the same time , he said that when the United States performs these actions, they are normally supported by other countries in the world, and today this is not the case.

“Remember what happened in Iraq, weapons of mass destruction, remember what happened in Libya, all those countries have had joint troops, not this time. And why don't they agree? Because we are right, Venezuela is a people of peace, of good, hardworking people, who will never be planning to harm anyone, we are a country free from the cultivation of any type of drug, there are no laboratories in Venezuela for drug processing and we are not a transit country that has any relevance to the world,” he said.

For this reason, he indicated that, just as in Venezuela the People have come out to repudiate the actions of the United States and demand the release of President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores, other Peoples around the world have also done so.

“Sectors that we didn't think of, universities, university academics, have publicly expressed their position of rejection, of repudiation of what has been done to our country (...) academics, professors from universities, governments and social movements around the world in support of the Bolivarian Revolution, are also taking to the streets to demand that they return to President Nicolás Maduro and our colleague Cilia Flores,” she said.

The Revolution for a People continues to govern here

Cabello specified that while some sectors of the opposition continue to laugh miserably at what happened on January 3, in Venezuela the Bolivarian Revolution is still governed together with a people and it does not stop.

“What a shame, what a shame the opposition sectors that celebrated the massacre of our own people, who laughed at the bombs! Already today they are in a situation because the Bolivarian Revolution continues to govern here (...) for a People,” he said, highlighting the reactivation of all sectors of the country working to guarantee the well-being of all Venezuelans, but without neglecting the defense of President Maduro.

He stressed that today in the face of this new battle, the Revolution is united in support of the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez.

In addition, he said that today the call is for the People to “raise their faces” to continue moving forward. “Beyond the circumstances, it is the path of the Bolivarian Revolution, always, always with (Simon) Bolivar as the guide,” he said.

“We are united as a single block, a solid rock is the Bolivarian Revolution, it is our People, our Armed Forces, they are our police forces, we are well united, they heard, very united. We have demonstrated it a thousand times (...) We are accompanying Sister Delcy, the party, the Armed Forces and the police forces, in the difficult management she has, in the difficult task she has. We are with her working together with our people to move forward,” he said.

Liberation of people has nothing to do with the church or NGOs

The Minister of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace also assured that the release of people for acts of violence has nothing to do with the church or any Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).

“All of these decisions were made unilaterally. The Catholic Church has nothing to do with it, on the contrary, not a single NGO has anything to do with it, NGOs such as PROVEA and others, which every time a release occurs they will charge family members as if they were the ones who achieved the measure, they have nothing to do with it,” he emphasized.

He pointed out that this is a decision taken by President Nicolás Maduro and that the resolution was issued since December, which is why some people had already been released from prison during the month of December and today, to date, more than 400 people have been released.

He took the opportunity to clarify that freed people are not “political prisoners”, pointing out that they “ are just irresponsible people who don't mind hurting people, institutions, destroying the infrastructure of the State for a political purpose.”

For this reason, he maintained that today the Bolivarian Government is “giving them an opportunity for peace and tranquility in this country”, recalling that they were being detained for acts of violence and for threatening the stability of the Homeland.

“Today the one who is giving you this opportunity in life, it's not those who put you in that mess, it's the Bolivarian Government. They are the State institutions that are functioning. You will see what you do as a citizen,” he reiterated, adding that the authorities continue to review cases to release those who deserve it.

The extreme right has the courage to assume that it called for an invasion

With regard to the recent events of January 3, the revolutionary leader recalled that on the extreme right everyone called for an invasion of the Fatherland, although now no one has the courage to assume it.

“They asked for invasion, not once, the thing is that they don't have the courage to accept it. All of them, (Antonio) Ledezma, (Julio) Borges, Leopoldo López, all called for invasions. (Henrique) Capriles asked, the thing is that he's wearing a sheep's costume right now, trying to sell himself as the solution,” he lashed

He specified that today press releases are circulating stating that part of the accusations made by the fugitive from Venezuelan justice, María Corina Machado, served to justify the invasion against the country.

In view of this, he stressed that those who celebrate the bombing of the Homeland, sooner rather than later, will be defeated by the conscience of the People of Venezuela.

“Our wise people, from their pain, from their anger, from their sadness, but from their rebellious origin. And that people have found a reason to unite, as this lady says (from a video) the Chavistas and the opposition are going to end up united against these murderers who called for bombing our people (...) When you look at what they have done against our country, they really have no forgiveness, history corresponds to their condemnation”, he emphasized.
