This Saturday, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during the grand march celebrating the victory of May 25, assured that the abstention campaign promoted by the right failed.

“The abstention campaign could not be achieved because opposition sectors that have tried to open up came out to vote, the results are those, they are unquestionable, recognized by governors like Manuel Rosales who came out to recognize what had happened and that is a good sign for our democracy,” said Cabello.

He also explained that the narrative of the right wing “will always be that there is no democracy here, as opposed to us we can say that we have, how many elections? 32... How much love is manifested in the street, when there is an election people come out because they believe in an electoral system.”

Likewise, the general secretary of the PSUV stressed that in Venezuela things are resolved in peace at the polls, not through violence, shortcuts or terrorism, as opponents who are sick of hatred and terror against Venezuelans have wanted.
