With the kidnapping of the magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice, Maikel Moreno, they wanted to deal a moral blow to the country and sow terror, said the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.
During a press conference held this Thursday, Cabello indicated that the terrorists responsible for this action intended to carry it out before January 10, to cloud the swearing in for a new presidential term of the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro.
“They wanted to create terror, to provoke an event that would ensure that January 10 would not happen. When they talked about signs in the sky, it's so that it wouldn't happen on January 10,” he said.
The also sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace indicated that the plans against the magistrate included his capture and transfer to a beach in Higuerote, Miranda state, to be taken by boat to international waters, from there to an island in the Caribbean and then to the United States.
“They are the same as always, the same lies, the same manipulations. There is no doubt that these terrorist groups have links with the political groups of fascism in Venezuela,” he stressed, while emphasizing that Venezuela is still in peace, in tranquility thanks to the Bolivarian Revolution.
