The candidate for governor of the state of Monagas for the Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB), Ernesto Luna, highlighted election day as a clear reflection of the democratic nature of the Venezuelan political system.
“Venezuela has given the world this strong message, Venezuela has moved away from the violent agenda, from the fascist agenda; the majority of the Venezuelan people have stuck to the democratic agenda,” he said after exercising his right to vote.
Luna highlighted the high voter turnout despite the weather conditions, highlighted the enthusiasm and citizenship of the people of Monagua, who came in a massive and orderly manner to exercise their right to vote.
“This is a historic day not only for Monagas, but for Venezuela, where regional governors and legislators are elected, and for the first time, the governor of the territory of Guiana Essequiba. We continue to demonstrate that the path to resolving our differences is that of democracy,” he said.
Luna called on citizens to exercise their constitutional right, stressing that the electoral process is fast and accessible to all.
