The candidate for the National Assembly (AN) for the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar (GPPSB), Jorge Arreaza, called on the People to deploy and exercise their right to vote to elect their governors, deputies and members of the regional Legislative Councils.

“This May 25, we all have to vote to protect our political spaces, to ensure that, for example, our governors and governors are at the service of People's Power and know that they have to rule in obedience to the People,” Arreaza said in statements for the Con El Mazo Dando website.

He stressed that this electoral process is taking place under the best conditions, because “we have a vibrant democracy in the territory and our constitutional institutions must be subordinated to it.”

He warned that the AN could “be used as an atomic bomb” if taken by the extreme right, “as those who usurped it tried to do from 2016 to 2020 and from there they asked for sanctions, generated suffering, tried to kill the president, tried to organize mercenary coups d'etat, everything we live with and that we don't want to live again under any circumstances.”

In this regard, he urged the population to leave “no room here for any doubt of our sovereignty”, so he urged them to “support the good men and women who have applied for the Revolution and who guarantee peace, prosperity and political stability in the country”.
