CANTV advances efforts to bring fiber-optic internet to communities in Amazonas

CANTV is carrying out a technical and commercial deployment in the Simón Bolívar Urbanization in the Luis Alberto Gómez parish, in Puerto Ayacucho, Amazonas state, to bring the ABA Ultra service to nearly 300 new subscribers in the area.

The project is being developed in conjunction with the Technical Telecommunications Boards (MTT), in order to guarantee high speed Internet through fiber optics; ABA TV GO, the streaming of CANTV and IP Telephony.

The maneuvers, according to a press release from the company, are progressing with the installation of the different components of the GPON (Passive Optical Network with Gigabit Capacity) technology. Previously, the company's technicians laid more than 5 thousand meters of optical fiber in the area, placed sleeves, installed FAT boxes, and other work.
