The Anonymous Telephone Company of Venezuela (CANTV) estimates to build 400,000 optical points that will not only leverage the process of updating its infrastructure, but will also contribute to a more reliable and efficient service for users.

In a press release from the telephone company, it was announced that these actions, which are part of the strategic plan called P400, include the acquisition of new technologies, strengthening the data transport service and the coordination with operators and private service providers, in the latter case to establish interconnection points.

“We have coordinated with other operators, offering data transport services and the use of our VGT ( General Telecommunications Roads), also to venture into 4G and 5G in the Last Mile, that's what we call the process in which we bring the Internet to the radio bases of telecommunications operators,” said the president of CANTV, Iván Hernández Dala, in an exclusive interview with the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL).

Among the alliances established with operators and service providers, he pointed out that they are making progress in consolidating interconnection points to optimize the radio spectrum, following the auction of 4G and 5G frequency bands, organized by CONATEL and supervised by the National Superintendency of Securities (SUNAVAL), which took place at the end of January.
