Carabobo FC went on to lead group B of the Final Phase of the FUTVE League Clausura Tournament

Deportivo Táchira and Carabobo FC closed the first round as group leaders

After the results of the third round of the Final Phase of the Closing Tournament of the Venezuelan Football League (FUTVE League), Carabobo FC went on to lead group B, while Deportivo Táchira is still in charge of A.

For group A, the Aurinegros beat Rayo Zuliano 2-1 at the Pachencho Romero stadium in Maracaibo. For the visit, Nelson Hernández scored at minute 4′ and Anthony Uribe at 15′, and Ángel Fanía scored for the locals at 31′.

With that same result, at the La Carolina Stadium in Barinas, Zamora FC defeated Caracas FC. The winning goals were scored by Nicolás Femia at 47′ and Antonio Romero 58′ on penalty. While Edwuin Pernía scored the only goal for the Red Devils at 45+3′.

Meanwhile, in Quadrangular B, Estudiantes de Mérida respected the house after dominating Monagas SC 2-0, at the Metropolitan Stadium in the Andean city. Elías Alderete at 11′ penalty and Roberto Ordóñez at 54′ scored the stars of the victory.

For its part, Deportivo La Guaira fell 0-1 to Carabobo FC with a goal scored by José Balza at 46′, at the Olympic stadium in the capital city.

Group A is led by Táchira with 9 points, followed by Rayo Zuliano with 6, Zamora with 3 and Caracas is still missing.

Group B came to the helm of Carabobo with 7 points, accompanied by La Guaira with 6, Mérida with 3 and Monagas with 1.
