Caracas and La Asunción will host the Russian Film Festival from October 21 to 25

The Russian Film Festival will kick off this Tuesday, October 21, in Caracas and La Asunción (Nueva Esparta), with a selection of the best of the Eurasian country's film production, as announced by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC) on its website.
This initiative, which will run until next Saturday, October 25, is organized by the MPPC, together with the National Experimental University of the Arts (UNEARTE), and the National Cinematheque Foundation, in collaboration with the Russian Embassy in Venezuela and with the support of Roskino to strengthen ties, cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the two nations.
The screenings will take place simultaneously, with free admission, in the Margot Benacerraf room, floor 1 (located in UNEARTE, Caracas) and in the María Nela Alas room (located in Margarita - La Asunción, Palo Santo sector).
All films will be presented in their original language with subtitles in Spanish, ensuring the accessibility and enjoyment of the Venezuelan public.
The series will open with the screening of “Blood Group”, a film directed by Maksim Brius (2025), in the Ana Julia Rojas room of Unearte, at 2:00 p.m.
The regular performances of the festival, which will take place in the Margot Benacerraf (Caracas) and María Nela Alas (Nueva Esparta) theaters, at 2:00 p.m., will have the following programming: on Wednesday, October 22, “For the Desire of the Fish” by Aleksandr Voitinski (2023) will be screened; on Thursday, October 23, it will be the turn of “The Light” by Anton Kolomeyets (2023); and for, the Saturday, October 25, Konstantín Bronzit's “Luntik” (2024) will be screened.
