This Wednesday, the Assembly of Presidents of the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CBPC) announced that Caracas will once again host a Caribbean Series.

The Venezuelan capital will bring together the champion Caribbean baseball teams for the 16th time in the country's history, and the ninth time in itself, since the event, which will celebrate its 68th edition next year. The Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) is one of the founders of the CBPC and, therefore, has organized the contest since its first stage in the 1950s. In 1951, 1955 and 1959, it was held only at the University Stadium in Caracas.

The 2026 Caribbean Series, to be held in Venezuela, promises to once again be one of the most important events in American football thanks to the work it has done to place the bar higher than in its 2023 edition. During a press conference held in July at the Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium, it was detailed that this sports coliseum will be, together with the La Guaira Forum, the venues chosen to host this event.

In the same way, it was detailed that the Colombian and Cuban teams have already been confirmed as part of the four guests who will be present in this competition, sports media reported.
