Caracas FC beats Zamora FC and Estudiantes de Mérida consolidates its position as leader of Claadura 2024

The sixth round of the 2024 national football closing tournament continued on Tuesday, August 27, with the matches between Metropolitanos FC-Deportivo La Guaira, Monagas SC-Portuguesa FC and Caracas FC-Zamora FC.

In Caracas at the UCV Olympic Stadium, Metropolitanos FC and Deportivo La Guaira equalized scoreless, while the Guarapiche warriors destroyed the five-time lanero champion 4-1 at the Ricardo Tulio Maya stadium, in Ciudad Bolívar.

Also in the Capital City, Caracas FC beat Zamora FC at home at the Brígido Iriarte stadium, with a score of 2-1.

Added to these results is the victory of Estudiantes de Mérida, which allowed him to hold the lead of the Clausura Tournament for another week after beating Inter de Barinas by two goals to one.
