Caracas firefighters deal with a large fire on the main avenue of Las Mercedes

The Fire Department of the Capital District, together with the Barut County Police and Civil Protection, are dealing with a heavy fire on the main avenue of Las Mercedes, in Miranda state.

This was announced by users on social networks, who expressed their concern about the situation that occurred on the night of this Friday, February 14.

The large fire was specifically in a building adjacent to the Las Mercedes Polyclinic.

In this regard, the authorities asked residents of the area to avoid traveling along the main avenue of Las Mercedes.

In this regard, the mayor of the Baruta municipality, Darwin González, reported on his social networks that Civil Protection and the Caracas Fire Department are providing support to put out the fire that is taking place in a building located in the main building of Las Mercedes.

The mayor asked citizens to be careful and prevent them from taking the main one. “Traffic is being diverted along Paris street. We are already working to turn it off with all the municipal and national teams,” he explained.
