The historic “Antonio José de Sucre” Yellow House was the scene of the international conference “Voices of the Independent African Legacy”, a high-level meeting led by the deputy of the National Assembly (AN), Nicolás Maduro Guerra, aimed at strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and shared struggle between peoples.

During the event, Maduro Guerra stated that at this meeting they received representatives from Libya, Algeria, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, Congo and Egypt, among other African nations, who remain firm in the anti-imperialist struggle and for a more just and humane world.

The event brought together more than 100 national and international delegates, who discussed fundamental issues for the global agenda, such as the defense of peace and the inalienable right of peoples to self-determination.

As part of the presentations, the spokespersons emphasized that the Venezuelan cause transcends borders, joining forces with the African continent and the Global South. “This struggle in Venezuela includes the peoples of Africa, the peoples of the entire region of Latin America, of South Asia, and it is a global struggle, not only socially, but economically.”

With this meeting, Venezuela reaffirms its strategic role in building a multicentric and multipolar world, through the consolidation of alliances that seek balance and social justice on the international stage.
