Caracas hosts the third edition of the Encuentro en Corto student film festival

Emerging perspectives of national and international cinema will meet at the Cinemateca Room of the Museum of Fine Arts (MBA) during the third edition of the Short Encounter festival: Student Cinema 2026.

This event, organized by the National Cinemateca Foundation, will exhibit 72 works by young talents from August 26 to September 6, accompanied by spaces for debate and professional training, details the museum's information note.

This exhibition brings together more than 17 houses of study in an audiovisual X-ray that reflects the realities, identities and aesthetic searches of today's youth. The official selection consists of 49 fiction titles, 22 documentaries and one animated work, all produced between 2024 and 2026.

The territorial route includes works from the Capital District, Mérida, Monagas, Guárico, Lara, Barinas, Zulia, Cojedes and Falcón, as well as a special representation from Peru to enrich Latin American cultural exchange.
