The people of Caracas flooded the streets in support of the candidates of the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar (GPPSB) at the Great Closing of the campaign, with a view to the regional and legislative elections next Sunday, May 25.
From Libertador Avenue, in Caracas, Kenia Herrera, asserted that she took to the streets to celebrate the closing of the campaign, because she believes in democracy, freedom and sovereignty.
“Going out to vote is important because it confirms that the Venezuelan people believe in democracy and that we are the ones who choose our rulers,” Herrera said.
For his part, Ronald Herrera, asserted that he supports the candidates of the Bolivarian Revolution because they are people who resolve, people from the neighborhood “who know our realities and proposals.”
“The call is for them to go out and vote, to participate in this great electoral festival, because we are on the side of peace, never of violence,” he emphasized
Meanwhile, Wilmer Díaz, said that the participation of each of the Venezuelans in the elections is important, “because it means giving all the support to our president Nicolás Maduro in each of our states,” he added.
“The Venezuelan people trust their institutions, their Powers, the National Electoral Council, because all electoral processes have been transparent, contrary to what the opposition says, which only wants to tarnish the reputation of Venezuela's institutions,” he said.
The electoral campaign lasted 24 days, according to the schedule established by the National Electoral Council (CNE) when 569 offices were elected, including 285 deputies to the National Assembly, 24 governors and 260 legislators to state legislative councils.
