During the closing of the campaign of the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB), in Caracas, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Thursday the dismantling of a terrorist offensive against the country, promoted by the extreme right, ahead of the elections next Sunday, May 25.

“A group of new terrorists have been captured (...) international terrorists and some nationals with grenades, with explosives, we are dismantling a terrorist offensive,” said Maduro since the mobilization of revolutionary forces in the Libertador municipality.

Maduro identified former Colombian presidents Iván Duque and Álvaro Uribe Vélez as responsible for destabilizing plans against Venezuela. “It comes with the complicity of Uribe and Duque from Colombia, it comes from Miami, and the good thing is that the method of intelligence, patrolling and immediate reaction is working, and the popular-military-police fusion is working,” he emphasized.
