Caracas Metro authorities carry out a technical inspection at Mamera and Caricuao stations

Authorities are carrying out a technical inspection on line 2 of the Caracas Metro, specifically, at curves 22, 23 and 24 located on the stretch of the Mamera and Caricuao stations.

This information was shared on the social networks of the Caracas Metro, in which it was detailed that the president of the transport institution, Yoel Amaya, was present in the supervision.

In that area, 4,536 linear meters of rails and five cubic meters of ballast will be intervened. These maneuvers are aimed at increasing the reliability of the service, in addition to providing greater safety to users during their transfer.

Previously, operations of this nature included the replacement of rail bars on both tracks. In the same way, the operators carried out aluminothermic welding, a technique that allows the rails to be unified to consolidate a continuous trajectory on both wires of the railroad.
