Caracas will host the Olympic Weightlifting Championship

Starting this Friday, February 23, Caracas will host the Venezuela 2024 Olympic Weightlifting Qualifying Championship. The event will bring together the best exponents of the discipline in the continent from February 23 to 29 at the José Joaquín “Papa” Carrillo gymnasium in Parque Miranda.

The championship will have the participation of 180 athletes from 20 countries and is organized by the Venezuelan Weightlifting Federation, and the endorsement of the Pan-American and International Federations of the discipline,

Athletes from Costa Rica, Colombia, Paraguay, Argentina, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Chile, Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Peru, Cuba, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Curaçao and Venezuela will arrive in the country's capital.

Participants will choose to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
