Caracas won five gold medals in table tennis at the National Student Sports Games

The representatives of Caracas won five gold medals in table tennis during the third day of the discipline at the XIX National Student Sports Games.

Enmanuel Salcedo, Aram Pérez, Diana Marcuñez and Carla Salvatierra dominated the men's, women's and mixed duo categories.

The capital's delegation won one more medal thanks to the men's duo of Salcedo and Pérez, who defeated Daniel González and Dilan Pérez 3-1 in the final, according to the Ministry of Sports press.

The bronze medal was shared by the couples Frank Moreno, Juan Briceño (Trujillo) and Miguel Angulo and Sebastián Rujano (Mérida).

The fourth gold came courtesy of the women's duo of Marcuñez and Salvatierra who dominated the La Guaira representation made up of Andrea Gomez and Maria Flores to win 3-1.

In this category, Ángela Carrasquel and Verónica Martínez de Anzoátegui also took the podium to receive the bronze medal, who shared third place with the Neo-Spartan duo of Diannelys Cordero and Norma Garate.

The day closed with the dispute for the gold medal in mixed doubles between pairs from Caracas

The duo composed of Marcuñez and Pérez defeated Salcedo and Salvatierra 3-2. The third position was shared by the pairs of Anzoátegui and La Guaira.
