The Professional Basketball Super League does not stop its planning for naming winners to the most outstanding winners of the 2025 Elimination Phase and this time it was the turn of the Rookie of the Year, a distinction that went to Carlos “El Chino” Páez.

The player from Brillantes del Zulia left very good numbers in Venezuelan professional basketball after finishing his experience in the university leagues in the United States, so much so that he won the honors for Rookie of the Year.

The point guard recorded 4.8 points, 3.8 assists (ninth in the league) and 1.8 steals in 19 games. In addition, Páez showed his abilities as a triple player, throwing an acceptable 40% in the percentage of triple baskets, scoring 16 in 40 attempts.
