Carlos Quintero: 100% of the Electoral Offices are installed for regional elections

The vice-president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Carlos Quintero, reported that 100% of the polling stations have already been installed for the process of this Sunday, May 25, when the Governorates, the National Assembly (AN) and the Legislative Councils will be elected.

In the special program of Venezolana de Televisión, from the headquarters of the CNE, he specified that this Friday, May 23, “we are already at 100% of the facilities of all the polling stations, in which the members of the polls and the witnesses of the parties for political purposes participated.”

He considered that “this is an indicator that all the infrastructure that the National Electoral Council has prepared in all these months is ready for Sunday, starting at 5:00 in the morning for the members of the table to attend and begin the entire constitution process and then at 6:00 in the morning the polling stations will open.”

Quintero reported that all board members still have the opportunity to train to participate in this Sunday's election.

He also emphasized that the auditing process is for political organizations Electoral Guarantees, which have been built over the past 20 years, “so they are not an act of faith, but scientifically verifiable procedures.”

At this point, he specified that until this Friday, the 23rd, 60% of the audits established in the Electoral Schedule have been carried out and he proceeded to explain the process.

In the program, Quintero showed how the electoral horseshoe works.

He took the opportunity to call on the Venezuelan people to exercise their right to vote, to express their opinion and to strengthen democracy. “Don't let anyone decide for you,” he emphasized.
