The alternate minister for Foreign Affairs of Brazil, María Laura Da Rocha, reported that a meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) will be held this Sunday to address the recent criminal military attacks carried out by the US administration of Donald Trump against Venezuelan territory.

“A ministerial meeting of CELAC, in which all the countries of the region will participate, has been convened for tomorrow at 14:00 local time in Brasilia,” the Brazilian official said.

This ministerial meeting, which will be under the direction of the Brazilian nation, will take place after the overwhelming rejection received by this unilateral, illegal and criminal action of the United States government against Venezuela and its president Nicolás Maduro.

Earlier, Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva denounced that the Trump administration had “crossed an unacceptable line” and demanded that the international community “respond firmly to this episode”, which he did not hesitate to point out is a flagrant violation of international law.
