The National Book Center (CENAL), the governing body of the Book and Reading Platform of the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC), delivered books as a donation to the José María España Public Library in the state of La Guaira.

The texts were delivered by the Deputy Minister of Development for the Cultural Economy and president of CENAL, Raúl Cazal, to the director of the library, Milagros Ávila, who expressed his gratitude for this contribution to promoting reading in the region.

“We believe that the Public Library at this time is the best recipient of these books to be able to socialize them and to be part of the great promotion of books and reading,” said Cazal.

He indicated that especially boys, girls and young people will have the opportunity to explore new stories with the donated copies.

Among the books delivered are classic titles by Venezuelan authors such as Teresa de la Parra and Andrés Eloy Blanco.

The donated publications have the seal of The Dog and the Frog, The Red Star, Garzamora Ediciones, Editora Isabel De los Ríos, Editorial Tinta Papel y Vida, and other public, private and independent publishing houses.
