The Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, through the Office of the Deputy Minister for Africa, participated this Friday in the delivery of certificates for the graduates of the third cohort in Higher Studies in Egypt, the twelfth cohort in African Knowledge and the tenth cohort in Insular Caribbean Studies , awarded by the Center of African, American and Caribbean Knowledge, which reached its 14th anniversary last January.
The Deputy Minister for Africa, Yuri Pimentel -on behalf of Foreign Minister Yván Gil- congratulated the institute for adding 14 years of service to the people, generating knowledge for the country and the world, knowing that “knowledge with conscience is the true tensile that breaks the chains of oppression, leading us to definitive independence, as indicated more than 200 years ago by our Liberator Simon Bolivar”.
For the Venezuelan diplomat, the Center for African, American and Caribbean Knowledge - officially the Institute for Strategic Research on Africa and its Diaspora - paves the way to write not only the history of the past, but also of the dignified and sovereign future that the people decided to realize with perseverance and principles.
“I hope that the knowledge acquired by the graduates will contribute to the construction of the multicentric and multipolar world that Commander Hugo Chávez dreamed of and for which President Nicolás Maduro fights, day by day,” he said.
The rector of the Center for African, American and Caribbean Knowledge, Ambassador Reinaldo Bolívar, was proud and pleased, because the institute - “the cradle of critical thinking in Venezuela” - crossed borders and positioned itself in America, the Caribbean and Africa, thanks to rigorous strategic cooperation work with friendly governments.
Along the same lines, the executive director of the Center, Reina Arratia, stressed that it is of great importance for the institute to publicize -through its lines of research and analysis- the mother continent, the cradle of humanity: Africa.
Through its university study program, the Center for African Knowledge contributes to the strengthening of Venezuela's foreign policy, marked by Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace and the construction of a multicentric and multipolar world.
The Center for African, American and Caribbean Knowledge offers the Diploma of Higher Studies on Egypt since 2023, through an agreement with the Embassy of Egypt in Venezuela. The one on African Knowledge, representative of the institute, has been taught since 2011 and the one on Insular Caribbean Studies since 2013.
The ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Venezuela, Kareem Amin, in addition to congratulating the graduates, indicated the importance of university education, referring to the fact that, in the current geopolitical context, it is of great importance to “study and have the attitude of learning, of knowing not only our friends, but also our enemies” in order to generate “significant political changes for our countries”, which, in turn, lead to peace.
