The Center for Cultural Diversity Foundation celebrated its 18th anniversary by showing the historical and cultural struggles, the achievements achieved, and the current advances to continue preserving the historical memory of all Venezuelans. In turn, he gave recognition to the men and women who live in the institution.

The activity was carried out at its headquarters in Caracas, where the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, joyfully showed the Certificate of the Regional Committee for Latin America and the Caribbean, UNESCO Memory of the World Program, which incorporates the Titles of Audiovisual Testimonies of Living Cultures of Latin America and the Caribbean of the 20th century, which is guarded by the Center for Cultural Diversity Foundation in Venezuela, in recognition of its meaning for collective memory, in accordance with a decision taken on November 28, 2023 in Santiago de Chile.

“This document allows us to look at this institution in its just and wide dimension as a human team, without whose human component humanity would not become more human, because beyond the format in which these audiovisual pieces are supported and beyond the filmmakers, there is an army of men and women who have dedicated their lives to their custody, protection, preservation and dissemination,” he said.

He also extended his congratulations and recognition to all the workers of the institution for the great effort they make in this institution. At the same time, he invited them to continue promoting the Great Mission Viva Venezuela, My Beloved Homeland, at its most Cultural Heritage apex, in which he called for the incorporation of the entire agenda for the concentration of new public policies and concrete tasks such as the culmination of the Venezuelan arepa file.

For his part, Benito Irady, president of the organization, expressed his gratitude to all workers for the effort and contribution they make every day to continue betting on peace. “Our best contribution to the country is to fight for peace and dialogue, through the preservation of our identity and cultural heritage,” he said.
