Central Railway System begins modernization phase with application for payment and tracking of trains

The authorities of the State Railroad Institute carried out this Tuesday, September 1, the official test of a mobile application on the Ezequiel Zamora I Line of the Central Railway System, the Government of Miranda reported on its website.
The digital tool seeks to modernize the service, automate ticket collection and allow satellite tracking for users traveling between the Valles del Tuy and Caracas.
The president of the organization, Claudio Farías, explained that the platform includes an integrated digital wallet to cancel the ticket from smartphones without using cash.
In addition, the system has a real-time GPS location module that reports the exact time of arrival of trains at stations to facilitate trip planning.
The implementation of this technological resource was supported by the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Francisco Garcés.
The authorities oriented the development of the tool to optimizing the quality of the mass transport service that serves the population of this route.
For his part, the governor of Miranda, Elio Serrano, positively evaluated the test of the new method and highlighted its contribution to the daily mobility of his passengers.
