The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, said this Friday that on May 25, the country will experience an unprecedented electoral process because, in addition to the convulsive international geopolitical context, it will be the first time in history that an authority will be elected for Guiana Essequiba, the country's 24th state.
“These are elections that are marked by a very important sovereign content (...) A dream, a desire of Venezuelans, is coming true and we are going to be very aware of the electoral result. Our revolutionary democracy working at its best!” , said the Foreign Minister during his speech at the International Forum Venezuela Vote for Peace and Against Fascism, from the Teatro Principal in Caracas, where some of the more than 300 international observers from 53 countries who will participate in the regional and legislative elections were present.
The Venezuelan diplomat stressed that the accompaniment will once again demonstrate to the international community the perfection of revolutionary democracy and ratified the defense of the Bolivarian Government against Guyana's illegal attempts around the Esequibo territory.
He stressed that “the people of Venezuela decide to move forward and create their revolutionary institutions, whose governor we are going to elect him on Sunday”, after in 2022 Venezuelans will vote in favor of the defense of Guiana Essequiba.
In this context, he denounced the “creation of a political-military enclave to threaten from various aspects together with the United States (US) Southern Command”.
“For Venezuelans, this is an important, momentous and historic vote. It is the mobilization of an entire people that shows the world that this revolution will continue to advance and will summon various forces of the world for ideological and programmatic programming” against fascism, he emphasized.
