The United States is trying to violently impose a new division of the world, “in which one party would be shaped by what they ask of their States through the making of economic, territorial, power or security concessions and, on the other, those that will be subject to coercion and aggression for refusing to be subdued and defending sovereign equality and their right to self-determination,” emphasized the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil.
He made the statement at the headquarters of the Yellow House, during his speech at the meeting of the 25th Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP).
In this regard, he assured that with regard to natural resources, critical infrastructures and legitimate international relations, which “we develop with other countries that are under threat and those who do not submit to the imperial plan are exposed to aggressive extra-territorial persecution.”
He emphasized that “it is our duty to maintain a system based on respectful relations of friendship and cooperation, free from threats and aggression, as well as a climate of peace, stability and justice, in order to banish forever the use and threat of force.”
On the other hand, Gil considered that “we must focus on strengthening the positions of the community, curbing positions that mean a reversal of what has been achieved and safeguarding the historical acquis”.
“The politically motivated use of violent and racist mass deportations of migrants by the United States constitutes a flagrant, massive and systematic violation,” he stressed.
In that direction, he argued that it is necessary to mobilize to prevent deportations “from being used as a weapon of blackmail and political pressure against our nations and the use of the Guantánamo Naval Base.”
He stressed that the United States imprisoning migrants “is a brutal and illegal act that threatens the security and peace of Cuba and the region, since kidnapping without jurisdiction or due process, without trial, defense and sanction by a competent court and sending Venezuelan migrants and any citizenship to third countries by the United States is an atrocious pact and constitutes cruel and inhuman treatment.”
