The Foreign Minister of
Nicaragua, Valdrack Jaentschke, highlighted this Wednesday the deep loyalty that the Central American nation maintains with
the Bolivarian Revolution and, especially, with Commander Hugo Chávez.
The senior
official participated in a walk on Avenida De Bolívar to
Chávez, to commemorate the 12th anniversary of the planting of the Latin American leader.
The head of Nicaraguan
diplomacy assured that the people are committed to continuing the legacy of Commander Chávez and highlighted the similarity between the Sandinista Revolution and the Bolivarian Revolution.
The event was attended by
the ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Javier Arrüe, who
highlighted how close the two countries are from an ideological point of view.
“The future of both Homelands is in the hands of the youth. We are very close to the Nicaraguan
people,” he said.
Universities in the
country participated in the walk organized by the Sandinista Youth, which
brings together different political movements. “Chavez is here. And it's still here,”
said Arrue.
In the
morning hours, a marathon was run on the same avenue De Bolívar a Chávez, which
included athletes from the five main universities in the country.
Additionally,
in several baseball and softball parks in Managua,
sports activities were held in honor of Commander Chávez.
