The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, celebrated this Thursday the ruling of the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), surrounding the presidential elections of July 28 , in which he certifies the results issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE) and the victory of President Nicolás Maduro.

From the headquarters of the Supreme Court, Foreign Minister Gil indicated that the ruling “closes a chapter of the Venezuelan electoral process of July 28”, which at the international level “has aroused really important interest. We have seen how we have received congratulations, we have received opinions, we have received constant vision from the outside”.

He recalled that the United States (USA) promoted a coup d'etat “which was tried to impose in Venezuela (...) today it is clear, the entire process is well described, how it was carried out, the details of the electoral process, the competence of both the Supreme Court of Justice, its Electoral Chamber, and the powers of the National Electoral Council.”

In this regard, he stressed the importance of the world knowing that “in Venezuela the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic has triumphed, the rule of law has triumphed, its institutions have triumphed and, once again, from Venezuela we demand respect, we demand non-interference in Venezuelan internal affairs,” he emphasized.

He stressed that these are issues “that have a solution within the framework of our Constitution, within the framework of our laws and we see this reflected, not only in the document written by the Supreme Court of Justice after the expertise, after the work of the experts, but we also see it in social peace, in economic peace, in the political peace that is breathed in Venezuela.”
