Chavismo gets more than 82% of the votes for the National Assembly

The Simon Bolivar Grand Patriotic Pole (GPP) won a resounding victory, securing 82%. At the time of the announcement, 40 of the 50 seats were allocated, according to the first official bulletin of the electoral body.

In terms of voting, the GPPSB reached 4,553,484 votes, equivalent to 82.68% of the total. The opposing forces together totaled: 344,422 votes for the Democratic Alliance (6.95%), 285,501 for the Single UNTC Alliance (5.18%) and 141,566 for the Neighborhood Force (2.57%). Invalid or unassigned votes represented 3.31% of the total.

Citizen participation stood at 42.63% of the electoral roll, according to official CNE data, which reported the transmission of 93.2% of the polling stations.

This parliamentary configuration consolidates the qualified majority of Chavismo and will allow it to pass enabling laws and constitutional reforms.
