China expressed support for international economic organizations

The Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China, Li Qiang, said that his country supports international economic organizations to play an important role in global governance.

The Asian premier added that China will actively assume international obligations commensurate with its capabilities and will work with all parties to promote solid and stable development of the world economy.

Li made these statements while holding the “1+10" dialogue in Beijing with the heads of 10 international economic organizations, under the slogan “Building Consensus on Development to Promote Common Global Prosperity”.

All parties are willing to work more closely with China to jointly defend multilateralism and globalization, prioritize development problems, sustain free trade, increase support for developing countries, address global challenges such as climate change, promote inclusive global growth, promote shared prosperity and sustainable development, they said.
