The People's Republic of China responded to messages from the president-elect of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, who warned last Monday that as soon as he takes office he will give orders to impose new and radical tariffs on Mexico, Canada and the Asian nation, in order to continue the effort to end illegal immigration and drugs.
In response to these tariff declarations, the Asian giant's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that the United States should not take Chinese goodwill for granted and, instead, must continue the positive dynamics achieved through anti-drug cooperation.
China also confirmed its willingness to continue cooperation in this area, on the basis of equality, benefit and mutual respect.
Trump, on Monday, assured that he will sign an executive order to apply a 25% tax to all products that arrive in the country from Mexico and Canada, as well as impose an additional 10% tariff on all goods from China.
