The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Lin Jian, expressed his solidarity with the island of Cuba regarding the impact of the U.S. embargo in the midst of the energy crisis.
Jian, stressed that the embargo has inflicted significant damage to Cuba's economic and social development, profoundly affecting the lives of its population.
In this context, the Chinese Foreign Ministry not only criticized the embargo, but also requested the removal of Cuba from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.
The spokesman in support of the island assured that “this request is universally supported by the international community.”
“We believe that, under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Cuban people will be able to overcome these difficulties and advance their socialist cause,” said Lin.
Recently, the blackouts, which have left more than half of the country without electricity, are a manifestation of a crisis that has been increasing for years due to the criminal blockade of the United States (USA).
