This Tuesday, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Lin Jian, asserted that the behavior of the United States (USA) goes against the laws of market economy.

“It seriously violates the laws of the market economy and the principle of fair competition; it undermines the international economic and commercial order,” he said.

Jian claimed that in the same way, the US government “alters the stability of global production and supply chains; and, ultimately, it harms the interests of all countries.”

The senior diplomat emphasized that Beijing “will take decisive steps to firmly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests” of its companies.

On December 2, the Office of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce presented a “package of standards designed to further impair the ability of the People's Republic of China (PRC) to produce advanced node semiconductors.”
