The Minister of the People's Power of National Commerce, Luis Antonio Villegas, held a meeting with representatives of the Commercial Chamber of Chinese Companies in Venezuela, to review strategies to expand the list of products available in the Plan Bodega, a program promoted by the Bolivarian Government to guarantee access to basic food items at affordable prices.

During the meeting, Villegas highlighted the crucial role of the Commercial Chamber of Chinese Companies in Venezuela in promoting collaboration between companies in the Asian country and the South American nation.

Currently, more than 20 companies from the Asian giant operate in various industries in the country, including oil, mining, infrastructure construction, telecommunications and agriculture.

This effort by the National Executive is part of a broader strategy to ensure that essential products reach communities through communal warehouses; and, with collaboration with Chinese companies, it is planned to diversify the supply of products, as well as strengthen the local economy through these strategic alliances.
