CICPC apprehended a subject for extortion under the dropwise modality

Members of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) succeeded in apprehending a citizen of Colombian nationality for the crime of extortion, “in the form of a drop by drop”.

The information was released through an Instagram post by the director of this police force, Commissioner Douglas Rico, who awarded the arrest to members of the Extortion Investigations Division and identified the subject as Elider Antonio Arias Bran, who was in demand for the crime of extortion.

“Arias Bran (44), was arrested during a police procedure carried out by the investigations, who, after verifying the identification data of the person named before the Police Investigation and Information System (SIIPOL), showed that he was filing a request by the 10th Court of First Instance in Functions of Control of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas,” Rico wrote.

In this regard, he specified that “the detainee was the leader of a route that operated in La Guaira and part of Caracas, “with the Drop by Drop modality, with several employees, including Colombians and Venezuelans, most of them fully identified, which is why he was ordered by the 74th Public Prosecutor's Office of the Judicial District of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas, with competence in Crimes against Extortion and Kidnapping”.
