Cinemateca Nacional holds workshops to promote audiovisual talent in Venezuela

The National Cinemateca Foundation (FCN) reaffirms its commitment to training and the development of skills in the audiovisual field through a series of free workshops that seek to enrich the knowledge and skills of those interested in the world of cinema and audiovisual production.

According to the Ministry for Culture, the workshops have two modalities: online and face-to-face.

Online workshops (via WhatsApp):

• Screenplay I. Dates: March 07 to April 4, 2025. Schedule: Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Teacher: Enmanuel Chávez, screenwriter of renowned feature films. Content: Theoretical and practical tools for writing screenplays for short and feature films.

• Creation of children's programs for TV. Dates: March 03 to 31, 2025. Schedule: Monday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Teacher: Jessica Rondón, Lic. in Social Communication. Content: Audiovisual production processes dedicated to the children's area.

• Video editing on smartphones. Dates: March 01 to 29, 2025. Schedule: Saturdays, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Professor: Aldo Polo, Lic. in Audiovisual Arts. Content: Video editing techniques with Wondershare Filmora.

• Cultural Journalism in the Office of Film Criticism. Dates: March 07 to April 04, 2025. Schedule: Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Professor: Luis Ortega, independent national producer. Content: Techniques for the development of informative and critical content focused on the cinematographic field.

In-person Workshops

• Planning and budgeting to produce audiovisual works. Dates: Wednesday, March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 2. Schedule: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Teacher: Moraima Mora, film producer. Content: Tools to understand planning and budgeting in audiovisual proposals.

• Poetic images: The reinvestment of subjects and the Latin American visual imaginary. Dates: Wednesday, March 5, 12, 19, 26 and April 2. Schedule: 1:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Teacher: Jesús Reyes, director with extensive experience in film. Content: Recognition and appreciation of poetic images in cinema.
