A series of films, talks and presentations will take place from August 12 to 14 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Caracas, as part of the Centenary Seminar of Margot Benacerraf, an event organized by the National Cinemateca to commemorate the legacy of its founder and celebrate her 60-year institutional career.

The day, which will begin daily at 2:00pm, will bring together specialists and researchers to address the interdisciplinary dimension of Benacerraf as a key figure in twentieth-century Venezuelan culture, Cinemateca Nacional reported in a press release.

The film selection brings together fundamental works from Benacerraf's filmography (such as her emblematic documentaries Reverón and Araya), together with documentary pieces directed by other directors that address and pay tribute to the life, vision and career of this woman of cinema.

The invitation is for researchers and researchers, students, film people, professionals in the area of social sciences and all Venezuelan film enthusiasts who want to join and be part of this meeting.
