Civic-military-police merger honored victims of the Las Tejerías landslide

Three years after the landslide in Las Tejerías, the municipal government carried out various activities in memory of the victims of the tragedy that occurred on October 08, 2022.

The commemorative activities began with a civic-military-police-popular parade in the city's Plaza Bolívar.

At the site, representatives of the security, rescue and civil protection forces, as well as local government officials, spokespersons for the People's Power and residents of the municipality, remembered with respect those who lost their lives in the tragedy; but at the same time, they highlighted the perseverance, brotherhood and impetus of the people to overcome adversity and promote the rebirth of Las Tejerías.

In addition, according to a press release from the municipality, the town recalled their unwavering capacity and spirit to move forward.

For his part, the mayor of the municipality, Régulo La Cruz, highlighted the will of the people, as well as their strength to, together with the Bolivarian Government, overcome every obstacle imposed by nature and build a better future for all.
