Civil Protection has a
new headquarters in the Sucre municipality of the
state of Aragua, in connection with the
celebration of the 405th anniversary of the elevation of that town in Aragüeña as an ecclesiastical parish.
The new headquarters has modern facilities that include an operating
room, a rain monitoring room, a preferred route for
leaving ambulances, bedrooms for on-call staff, a dining room and administrative
offices, the newspaper Úlmas Noticias reported.
The governor, Joana
Sánchez, indicated that “Civil Protection are men and women who have
extra will... With the construction of this headquarters, we are emulating the
officials of this body, who make an extraordinary effort every
day.”
He also added that the new headquarters will be a model in the entity, “
complying with Q3 of the 7 Transformations.”
For his part, the mayor, Wilson Coy, commented that the
headquarters is named Félix Alberto Pérez Gómez, in
homage to a man who gave his life to the service of the Fatherland, and one of the
founders of the organization in the municipality.
