This Tuesday, the National Electoral Council (CNE) awarded the deputies elected by Caracas, on May 25, to form the Legislative Branch for the period 2026-2031.

During the event, held at the Municipal Theater of Caracas, the deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra thanked the people of Caracas for their support and assured that his election as legislator, together with the rest of the parliamentarians, constitutes a commitment to continue moving forward to offer a better quality of life to Venezuelans

“From what we have to do as a deputy, we have to commit ourselves so that in 2030 we can say: we are better, we have advanced, we build laws for Popular Power; we built an economic base, trust, we were the link between Popular Power and the State; we built the competence of the communes; the economy is vibrant, we have grown; we have quality education, health; the right to housing continues to be restored,” he said.

He also stressed that the election of this new National Assembly (AN) brings the Venezuelan family closer to the future, so that it can emerge and be protected.

“We have to protect our grandparents, our childhood. We are committed to the campaign and we are committed to achieving it,” he said, while assuring that his new administration will be “in the streets next to the people.”
