CNE complies with the Supreme Court ruling on the July 28 electoral dispute that validates Nicolás Maduro's victory

The ruling confirms the existence of a cyber attack on the Creole electoral system

In the afternoon of Monday, August 26, the National Electoral Council (CNE) announced in a statement that it received notification of the ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) and complies with the decision, according to which the result of the presidential election of July 28, in which the candidate Nicolás Maduro Moros won the victory, is verified and validated.

This is judgment number 031 dated August 22, 2024, where the ruling issued by the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court, issued in the file containing the Contentious Electoral Appeal filed in the framework of the electoral process held on July 28, 2024, is notified.

The ruling establishes that, on the basis of the expertise carried out and verified in an unrestricted and unambiguous manner and based on the report prepared by national and international electoral experts, the expert electoral material is unobjectionably certified and the results of the presidential election of July 28 are categorically validated. In addition, it indicates that the massive cyber attack suffered by the Venezuelan electoral system was verified.
