The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Elvis Amoroso, informed the Venezuelan people, given that at 6:00pm, there are still many citizens queuing up at the country's electoral centers, and the rectors of the Electoral Power decided to extend the elections for another hour or until there are people to vote.
In that sense, in statements to the media, Amoroso addressed the people, he specified that “the one who is still waiting in line can continue to rest assured that we have this extension”.
“If voters continue to vote in the centers, after the hour, people who want to vote will have the opportunity,” he said.
He also stated that the CNE “is once again proud of the active participation of the Brave People of Venezuela.”
“Thank you very much to all Venezuelan women,” she said.
