Co-President Daniel Ortega asks the peoples of Latin America to join forces for peace

At the XIII Extraordinary Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America — Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), the co-president of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega called on the peoples of Latin America to join forces for peace.

Through a videoconference, the Nicaraguan leader stressed that “we have to take away the dignity of Latin American rulers to defend the sovereignty of our own countries.”

He pointed out that “the threat and aggression against the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, more than a threat to Venezuela, is from all of Latin America and the Caribbean and that cannot be missed.”
